 SECOND MOBILITY: SICILY (ITALY)

Discovering Sicilian folklore and traditions before our mobility in Comiso😍

Through this presentation, we will get to know better the folklore of Sicily and learn about its culture and traditions.

At the end of May there will be a mobility in Sicily. These weeks we'll learn about the history, the culture and traditions of this land through activities agreed between all the partners. This presentation offers insights and comparison.

On 17 May, pupils from all countries will meet online to play games and questionnaires on this topic

One of the activities we carried out in our schools before arriving in Sicily was to simulate a volcano in art class. The children really enjoyed it and were able to learn more about these natural phenomena and especially about the Etna Volcano.

Our partners wait for us in Siciliy... they are decorating the entire school...

💥Before traveling to Sicily, we tested our knowledge with an online meeting and a quiz on Sicilian culture and folklore
Last meeting on line with students before the mobility in Sicily! They enjoyed playing kahoot about Sicily. What a fun!

Continuing with the work on the culture and traditions of Sicily, we work on the figure of an important writer from this Italian region: Gesualdo Bufalino, born in Comiso. The students from the 8 member schools of the project did collaborative work reciting a poem by this wonderful writer.

The legend of "Teste di moro"

In Sicily one of the most popular souvenir you'll find is the Moorish head.

It is a vase made of ceramics and finely decorated and there's a legend about its origin.

Read the story in the presentation and make a digital book using tools like storyjumper or bookcreator
